So, a few weeks ago Joe helped Joe Nelson (his coworker, and our friend) redo the breaks on their Explorer. The family was headed out for a family reunion in Utah, and Joe needed to get them done before the trip. It kind of fell at a bad time as my parents arrived the same day and Ben's birthday was the next day. But we made it work!

Shalyn brought the kids over (with the car, of course) and the boys set to work. It was a nice day outside (not too hot, yet) so the kids played outside and we sat and chatted. Nelson (as I call him. There are too many Joe's in our life!) was sweet enough to buy us all pizza as a thank you for renting out my husband.

We all had a ton of fun! The Nelsons have had a bit of a hectic life lately, and it'd been a while since we saw them. So it was fun to catch up and have some good laughs :)

Another studly man, Joe Nelson. He cracked Shalyn and I up, because he would finish a section, run around the car and as Joe, "What's next boss?"

Maddie loves the Nelson kids so much! And the girls are so good with her. Here's Clarissa giving her a ride.


Poor Maddie...she's just having a horrible time ;) Carrin is on the back giving her an extra boost!

Here's (L-R) Carrin, Clarissa, Chase, Papa, Maddie and Ben. Chase had accidently dropped his airplane down the drain and Papa was retrieving it. This was a *fascinating* task as far as the kids were concerned.
