Pacific Science Center

Because Maddie's birthday fell the day before Easter this year, we decided to celebrate her day on Friday. It was an insanely blustery, rainy day. Ew! But we made it downtown and Grama and Papa treated us to a morning at Pacific Science Center!

Ben is really not sure about the dinosaur exhibit. He's kind of a scaredy cat, poor guy! But once he gets comfortable he's ok. Here's Grama, Papa, Maddie and Ben checking out some information about Dinos!

Papa and Ben organizing some DNA. Maybe he'll be a geneticist!!

Maddie had no idea what was going on. She just likes computers ;)

We finished our day at the Butterfly exhibit. The kids and I have been here several times, and this is our favorite. :) So far in our excursions, Maddie hasn't gotten any butterflies to land on her. This time she was DETERMINED to catch one. And let me tell you, I have NEVER seen the patience this kid had before. We walked around that room for a good 45 minutes. And she sat quietly, without moving, for 30 minutes of that. It was incredible! Towards the end I started feeling so bad for her. :( She was being so good, and so calm, and all she wanted was a darn butterfly to land on her!

Luckily, she got her birthday wish! And mommy was quick (read: pushed people out of the way) with the camera so there was proof :)

It was a wonderful day of celebration together :)
