Last Saturday my mom celebrated her 60th birthday! Our whole family surprised her on Friday afternoon at her work (an elementary school) with balloons and flowers. I had made it perfectly clear in the weeks leading up that we were NOT coming over for her birthday. She believed me, but secretly hoped we would. She, of course, got her wish :)
