A few weeks ago, the kids and I went over to Spokane for a surprise birthday party at The Davenport Hotel. For those of you who are unfamiliar with Spokane, The Davenport is one of (or the?) oldest hotel. It was recently restored and is the main destination for anyone famous who comes to town. Joe and I stayed there on our wedding night. It is just a gorgeous hotel!
So who could pass up free food and a beautiful atmosphere? Not me!!

There was a champagne and sparkling cider toast. Maddie LOVED the cider!
Ben? Not so much.
