Meeting GREAT-Granddad

We've been waiting for this meeting for over a year now. Ben's given name is actually Thomas (Thomas Benjamin Ames). He was named after Joe's grandfather, Thomas Patrick Ames ( he goes by Pat), who is still alive but until recently lived in Cody, WY. Due to some health complications, he has moved to Spokane to be closer to Dick and Katie and we are BEYOND THRILLED to have him close!!!!!!!!!! Granddad is such a special person to all of us, even me who is only related by marriage. He is a true war hero, a kind hearted, generous, loving man and we feel it an enormous privelege to know him AND to name our son after him.

Unfortunately, both Joe and I were horribly sick this weekend!! UGH! So the pictures aren't great, and we didn't get to chat too much. But we'll be back for Thanksgiving and can hopefully get some better "Thomas" pictures then :)
